How should I name image files so KDP PDF pages stay in order?
Short answer: Use numbered filenames with leading zeros, such as 001.png,
002.png, and 003.png. Avoid names like page1, page10,
page2, because simple alphabetical sorting can place page 10 before page 2.

PDF builders often sort filenames alphabetically. Without leading zeros, the order may become page 1, page 10, page 11, page 2. That kind of mistake is easy to miss until the interior is already uploaded.
Recommended workflow
- Rename files before import.
- Use three digits for most interiors: 001, 002, 003.
- Use four digits for very large batches if needed.
- Preview the assembled PDF page by page.
